Tucson Repertory Orchestra is the newest classical ensemble in Tucson AZ. Orchestra started in July 2011 by Toru Tagawa, and Linda Doughty Kneifel.

The Tucson Repertory Orchestra will be having its inaugural concert, Music of the Masters I, on Saturday, July 14, 2012, at 2pm, at St. Mark’s Presbyterian Church. Admission is free. TRO will perform Elgar’s Serenade for Strings, Schubert’s Symphony No. 5, and Mozart’s Symphony No. 40, directed by the TRO conductor, Toru Tagawa.
Founded in July 2011 by conductor Toru Tagawa, and flautist Linda Doughty Kneifel, the Tucson Repertory Orchestra is Tucson’s newest performance ensemble of classical music. The TRO mission is to create performance opportunities for highly-skilled musicians in the Tucson area. The orchestra musicians range from local professionals, university music students to music educators. The orchestra meets monthly to play through classical standards such as Overtures and Symphonies by Beethoven, Brahms, Dvorak, Schubert, Schumann, and Tchaikovsky.
